US welcomes release of Leyla Yunus - ambassador

US welcomes release of Leyla Yunus - ambassador

US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Robert Cekuta said on Monday that Washington welcomes the decision by Baku Court of Appeals to release human rights activist Leyla Yunus.

Together with the release of her husband Arif Yunus in November, we consider it an important step forward, said the ambassador.
