Two suicide bombers killed in Far North Region of Cameroon
Two suspected Nigerian Islamic sect Boko Haram members were killed Monday morning in Far North Region of Cameroon before they attempted to launch suicide bomb attacks.
A military source told Xinhua by phone that a young man blew himself up at about 5:30 a.m. local time near the chiefdom of Kolofata, a town in Far North Region bordering Nigeria, killing no other people but himself.

The source said another suicide bomber was spotted and shot dead by a Cameroonian soldier and three other terrorists fled.

The source said there is no casualty among the civilians and the armed forces.

According to the source, a suicide bomb attack took place in Kolofata on Friday, leaving 9 people killed, including the bomber and 22 injured.

Since July this year, suicide bomb attacks become common in Far North Region, causing tension in the area.
