Prosecutor requests 7 years imprisonment for Rauf Mirkadirov
The Baku Court on Grave Crimes on Wednesday resumed the hearing on the case of imprisoned journalist Rauf Mirgadirov.
The hearing presided over judge Alisultan Osmanov was held behind closed doors.

A state prosecutor in his speech demanded seven years of imprisonment for Mirgadirov.

The hearing is scheduled to resume on December 23.

Mirgadirov was detained in Turkey on 19 April 2014 and handed over to Azerbaijan, where he was charged with treason (Article 274). He was jailed for three months. The term of his pretrial detention has been extended for several times since.
