Court rejects another appeal of IBA former head
The Narimanov district court considered an appeal of the former head of the International Bank of Azerbaijan Jahangir Hajiyev in Baku Dec. 17. The appeal was made regarding his illegal detention at the Main Administration for Combating Organized Crime under the Azerbaijani interior ministry.
The appeal was considered during the process chaired by Judge Kamil Mammadov and it was rejected.

Hajiyev is charged under various articles of the Criminal Code, including the misappropriation, the abuse of office, fraud by causing huge damage, embezzlement through the abuse of office, bribing. According to the decision of the Narimanov court, a preventive measure in the form of arrest for a period of four months was chosen.
