The joint forces also found and seized weapons in addition to defusing dozens of landmines and roadside bombs, said the statement that provides daily operational updates.
The statement also confirmed the loss of 10 army personnel during clashes in the operations and as a result of separate attacks across the country over the same period.
The Taliban militants, who ruled the country before they were ousted in late 2001, renewed armed insurgency, staging ambushes and suicide attacks, killing combatants as well as civilians.
The Taliban has yet to make comments.
