Official welcoming ceremony held for Afghan president
An official welcoming ceremony was held in Baku Dec. 22 for the President of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani.
A guard of honor was lined up for the Afghan president at the square decorated with flags of Azerbaijan and Afghanistan.

President Ilham Aliyev welcomed President Ashraf Ghani.

Then, the national anthems of the two countries were performed.

The presidents passed by the guard of honor, and then the Afghan president greeted the Azerbaijani soldiers.

Representatives of Azerbaijani state and government were introduced to President Ashraf Ghani, and the Afghan delegation members were introduced to President Ilham Aliyev.

The presidents also posed for official photos.
