Suspended FIFA chief Blatter says finished football career
The suspended International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) president, Joseph Blatter, said his career in football was finished.
FIFA’s Ethics Committee Adjudicatory Chamber banned Blatter, alongside Vice President and European football chief Michel Platini, for eight years on Monday.

"I’ve finished my work in football," Blatter told The Wall Street Journal.

He added that he lost faith in FIFA on May 27 after the US law enforcement "presented FIFA as a mafia-type organization."

In May, the US Justice Department charged nine FIFA officials and five corporate executives with allegedly receiving some $150 million in bribes.
