Erdogan raises Karabakh issue at NATO summit
“The Karabakh settlement within Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity is of great importance”

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan attended the meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission held as part of NATO summit. Erdogan addressed the meeting of the commission at the level of heads of state and government and stressed the importance of the fulfillment of NATO’s promises to Azerbaijan, APA reports quoting Anadolu agency. He said that the settlement of the Karabakh conflict within the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan is of great importance.

The Turkish President also touched on the Ukrainian crisis. He said Turkey would further continue to support the territorial integrity, sovereignty, independence and national unity of Ukraine. He reiterated that Turkey wouldn’t recognize illegal annexation of the Crimea. Erdogan noted that the isolation of the Crimean Tatars is unacceptable and urged a political solution to the problem.
