Northern France school evacuated after online bomb threat
Anonymous user `French Jihad 93-7` posts threat online, saying: `I will take my life and the lives of thousands of students`
Hundreds of students were evacuated from a high school in northern France’s Compeigne commune Monday after a bomb threat was posted anonymously online, French police said.

Around 2,000 students were evacuated from the Mireille Grenet technical high school at 9.30 a.m. local time [0830GMT] after an anonymous user called “FrenchJihad93-7” published a threat online, saying: “I will take my life and the lives of thousands of students”.

The message also claimed that several radio-controlled explosive devices had been planted to take revenge for the bullying the anonymous user suffered at the school.

“The evacuation came after we received a report on the Pharos platform suggesting there is a possible danger at the school,” a press officer at the Compiegne prefecture said.

Pharos is a governmental platform that collects reports over illegal content and behaviors identified online.

Police cordoned off the school and were currently conducting a thorough search of the building and the surrounding area, local police told Anadolu Agency.
