Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov and other senior staff have visited the newly-commissioned Military Medical Department of the Armed Forces after its major overhaul, said the ministry.
Addressing before the personnel, Hasanov emphasized the importance of medical service in the army.
He stressed that the Military Medical Department, consisting of modern laboratory and subject rooms and a simulation centre, is of great importance in terms of training professional military doctors.
The defense minister said the Azerbaijani army fully controls the operational situation along the contact line of troops. “It’s no secret that fear fell upon Armenian armed forces.”
The enemy has suffered heavy losses over the past year, said the minister. “As stated President Ilham Aliyev, “the soil will burn under the enemy’s feet,” he added.
“We will not let Armenians stay in comfort in territories they have occupied,” stressed Hasanov.
Later on, Chief of the Medical Department of the Defense Ministry, Major General Natig Aliyev spoke about the positive results of the reforms carried out in the field of medical service, noting that the ministry’s leadership pays special attention to the development of military medicine.
