Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reveals statistics of causalities in Armenian army
Information recently disseminated by the official representative of Armenia
These figures don’t coincide with the official annual reports of the Armenian side, said the Azerbaijani ministry.

According only to the Armenian media reports, as many as 83 Armenian soldiers were killed and more than 100 were injured in 2015, said the statement.

The defense ministry of Azerbaijan emphasized that the casualties among civilians recruited from Nagorno-Karabakh, those forced to take up arms and placed in trenches as well as mercenaries recruited from war zones should also be taken into account when compiling statistic data.

“When also adding to account the figures from the data which are deliberately concealed from the Armenian society and are obtained from a variety of sources as well as from inside the enemy, there comes out a terrible figure. Even according to approximate calculations, Armenian losses in 2015 accounts for 276 people,” said the Azerbaijani ministry.

According to the statement, after starting 2016 with losses, the Armenian side has given serious instructions on concealing casualties suffered in clashes and covering up incidents and crimes.

“We would like to mention one single fact which took place in January of this year but was covered up by the enemy. That day, around 5:20pm, Avetisyan Edgar Vartanin, an Armenian artillery division soldier drafted in 2014, received a wound in the inner part of his right arm as he mishandled the gun and he was then admitted to hospital, but his commanders were instructed not to disclose the fact by any means,” said the Azerbaijani ministry.
