Over 7,600 flights canceled in US due to massive Blizzard
More than 7,600 flights have been canceled in the United States from Friday until Sunday due to the massive snow storm, local media reported Saturday.
Heavy snow storm came to the US east coast on Friday afternoon, hitting the US capital, as well as the surrounding states of Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania.

According to the CNN broadcaster, airports in Washington, as well as neighboring states, including New York are closed because of bad weather conditions. Some 7,600 flights have been canceled, and it is expected that they will be resumed on Sunday night.

The blizzard has prompted governors of at least 10 US states (Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, West Virginia, Tennessee and Kentucky) to declare states of emergency.
