Azerbaijan increases gas supplies to Turkey
Turkey imported 4.57 bcm of gas in November 2015. Some 3.66 bcm of this volume were imported through pipelines and 916.36 mcm accounted for the import of liquefied natural gas.
Azerbaijan`s share in Turkey’s total import of gas in November amounted to 12.57 percent.
The remaining volumes of gas imported via pipelines accounted for Russia (2.38 bcm) and Iran (703.96 mcm). Among LNG suppliers to Turkey in November are Algeria (485.3 mcm), Qatar (177.82 mcm), Trinidad and Tobago (166.46 mcm) and Nigeria (86.78 mcm).
Turkey imports gas from Azerbaijan supplied via the South Caucasus gas pipeline (Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum).
Turkey has a contract for the annual purchase of 6.6 bcm of gas from the Azerbaijani offshore gas condensate Shah Deniz field.
