No agreement reached with Gazprom yet - Kaladze
No agreement has been reached with Gazprom yet, Georgia`s Energy Minister Kakha Kaladze told reporters following his meeting with representatives of the non-government sector.
He said the exact date of the next meeting with Gazprom is yet to be determined, adding that there is no political context in the negotiations with Gazprom.

“I would like to remind you once again that Georgia creates contact with Gazprom every year. There are very good friendly relations. Despite the difficulties, these relations had been established by previous ministers. I’m not thinking of lose these ties for someone or something,” he stressed.

Kaladze said that as prime minister he is responsible for the processes ongoing in the energy sector, noting that no agreement has been reached with Gazprom yet.

“That is why the process has prolonged so long. We have our own position and views. For this area to develop and for the maximum result to be achieved for our people, we’ll do that which is possible,” he said.
