She said that these documents should reflect common interests of the member countries with Azerbaijan.
`Sweden, one of the founding members of the EU, considers the Eastern Partnership program important. Each country has its own positions and the attitude of one member country differs from that of other countries`, the FM added.
The EU is providing financial support to these countries which need to fulfill their commitments on partnership, Wallström stressed. “As a minister I want to say that I will defend the priority of the Eastern Partnership,” she said.
In turn, Minister Mammadyarov thanked Sweden for supporting Azerbaijan’s proposals on the conclusion of a strategic partnership agreement with the EU.
Mammadyarov recalled the visa facilitation agreement signed between Azerbaijan and the EU. “We think this is not enough and want that ordinary citizens of Azerbaijan to be able to travel to the EU countries with passports,” he added.
