Severe pollution of Araz river by Armenia is threat to all of us - Ilham Aliyev
Azerbaijan has managed to reduce gas emissions in the country in 25 years of independence, said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, who is participating in the "Climate and Energy Security: Is the Heat Still on?" panel discussion of the 52th Munich Security Conference.

The president said that the country was able to reduce the emissions from over 70 million tons to over 50 million tons since 1990, despite that Azerbaijan`s economy drastically grew over this period of time.

"There are challenges, there are threats. In particular, for us, the main threat is that our main rivers that supply water for us come from the neighboring country. And there is a very severe pollution of the Araz River in Armenia, which is a threat to all of us," said Ilham Aliyev.
