All five people on board the helicopter were injured, two people were treated on the scene, while a 16-year-old boy, a 45-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man were taken to a local hospital, ABC News said citing the Honolulu Emergency Services Department. The boy was in critical condition, while the man and the woman were in stable condition.
According to NBC News, NTSB has confirmed that the Bell 206B helicopter was on a sight-seeing tour when it crashed.
The USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor was closed for the remainder of the day on Thursday, NBC News said.
The memorial, located at Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, Hawaii, marks the resting place of over 1,000 US sailors and Marines killed during the December 7, 1941 Japanese attack on the harbor. The attack led to the direct involvement of the United States in WWII.
