US drone strike kills 4 militants in Pakistan
The United States reportedly conducted a drone strike in the Kurram tribal region in northern Pakistan on the Afghans border, killing four suspected militants, according to US media on Monday.
The strike reportedly hit three houses and injured three other people in addition to killing the four suspected militants, NBC News reported.

A local government official confirmed the airstrike took place, but noted that the houses were empty, the report noted.

The US military has increasingly relied on drones to conduct military operations in Afghanistan and Pakistan, but also in Libya, Syria and Iraq. Numerous critics have severely criticized the practice of using drones as ineffective, and one that has killed a significant number of civilians as well as destroyed infrastructure unrelated to terrorists.
