Mark Eliyahu, the guitarist of the popular `anna RF` music band played Azerbaijani music on the top of the Himalayan, he said in his interview to Azerbaijani press, AzVision.az reports.
Mark Eliyahu is from Dagestan. He lived in Azerbaijan until his 16.
`My father Piris Eliyahu learned mugham from Azerbaijani mugham masters Alim Qasimov and Habil Aliyev`, he said.
His popular `Journey` was also played on the rhyme of `Neva` type of mugham.
Note, anna RF is an Electro – Ethnic – Reggae group. The phrase anna RF is an Arabic-Hebrew expression which has a double meaning – “I know” and “I don’t know”, that is the concept behind the band.
anna RF was formed in a tiny desert village called “Shaharut”. The band creates music that combines the beauty of different cultures and brings people together in a joyful celebration of unity.
