Vienna finds no confirmation of Daesh`s attempts to infiltrate refugees
Austria has not registered a single case of refugee flows being infiltrated by Daesh, although six people out of 800,000 who have entered the country since last September are under suspicion, a spokesman for the country
On Tuesday, US Air Force General Philip Breedlove said that Europe was being put at risk by terrorists who are arriving everyday among the waves of "legitimate" refugees fleeing war in Syria and Iraq. He also noted that Daesh continued to infiltrate refugee flows.

"Not in general," Karl-Heinz Grundboeck said, when asked if the refugees who have arrived in Austria posed any threat. "[A total of] 800.000 people coming to Austria since September last year, six cases of suspicion and investigation, no case confirmed yet."

Grundboeck added that Austria had a mechanism in place to ensure that there were no terrorists among the migrants entering the country, even those without documents. The measures include border checks, registration procedures, and investigations of all cases where suspicions arise.

Europe has been beset by a massive refugee crisis, with hundreds of thousands of undocumented migrants fleeing their home countries to escape violence and poverty. Many of them take the West Balkan route, which crosses Greece, using the county as an entry point into the bloc from which they travel onward to wealthier EU states where they intend to apply for asylum.
