EU Energy Union issues statement on TAP
Greece takes necessary steps to ensure its and Europe
The statement appreciates steps by Greek government, including contribution to construction of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline: “the planned construction of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline, as part of the Southern Gas Corridor, is set to significantly improve the diversification of Greek gas supplies. Greece is also on track to meet its Energy Efficiency target for 2020”.

The statement was released before European Commission Vice-President for Energy Union Maroš Šefčovič`s visit to Greece. Within the visit, he will meet with the Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.
