Georgian FM resigns
Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze held an emergency briefing to announce her resignation. Panjikidze also quitted the ruling Georgian Dream coalition.

Deputy foreign ministers - Davit Zalkaliani, Tamar Beruchashvili, Davit Jalagania and Vladimer Gurgenidze also resigned,AzVision.az reports quoting Georgian news agencies.

Georgian news agencies reported that the Minister is most likely to resign, because she is a member of the “Our Georgia-Free Democrats party” led by Irakli Alasania who was dismissed a day ago. State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Petriashvili has already resigned. Deputy Prime Minister Kakha Kaladze didn’t exclude the possibility of resignation of other ministers from the same party.

The Georgian Prosecutor’s Office brought charges against some Defense Ministry officials. Minister Irakli Alasania said that it is a political step and would undermine the country`s Euro-Atlantic integration policy. PM Irakli Garibashvili dismissed his defense minister saying that he won’t allow the politicization of the Ministry.
