Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan received a delegation led by Herbert Salber, European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus March 16, AzVision.az reports.
Herbert Salber, European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus expressed gratitude to the President Aliyev as he had a chance to visit Azerbaijan a few weeks after the High Representative of the EU, Vice-President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini’s visit.
`Following the Federica Mogherini’s visit, there will be good opportunities to expand the scope of relations. Additionally, the EU can contribute to the settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan`, he said.
`High Representative of the EU, Vice-President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini’s visit was successful and fruitful`, President Aliyev emphasized.
Expressing his gratitude on the cooperation between Azerbaijan and EU, Aliyev added that future partnership will put into good perspectives.
The meeting covered a broad exchange of views on the solution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Moreover, the sides discussed the issues on the development of partnership between Azerbaijan and the EU in various fields.
