"Main directions of strategic road map on national economy and major sectors of economy" approved
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has issued an order on approval of the “Main directions of strategic road map on national economy and major sectors of economy” and issues arising from it.

In order to realize the development plans in accordance with the “Main directions of strategic road map on national economy and major sectors of economy”, a Working Group has been created. Natig Amirov, Natig Amirov, the aide to Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev on economic reforms was appointed as the head of the Working Group.

Members of the Group:

Ilgar Fatizade - First Deputy Finance Minister

Sevinj Hasanova – Deputy Minister of Economy

Alim Guliyev – first Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan

Vilayet Aliyev - the director of Institute of Scientific Research for Economic Reforms of the Ministry of Econom

Adalat Muradov – Rector of Azerbaijan State University of Economics

Emin Huseynov – Vice-Rector of ADA University

Taking into account the “Main directions of strategic road map on national economy and major sectors of economy”, the Working Group is to develop following projects and submit to the Azerbaijani President within six months:

Economic development strategy and Action Plan for 2016-2020
Long-term vision for period up to 2025
Vision to post-2025 targets
In connection with development of the projects, the Working Group may involve local and foreign companies, invite foreigners and persons without citizenship. Visas for these persons will be granted on the basis of letter of the Working Group by the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Cabinet of Ministers, central and local authorities and relevant state bodies are to submit necessary documents and information, as well as provide participation of their representatives in the activity of the Working Group.

The order comes into force since the day of signing.
