Ukrainian Minor Suspected of Planning Terror Act in Southern Russia
A Ukrainian minor planned to conduct a terrorist attack in the southern Russian city of Rostov-on-Don using a homemade explosive device, the head of the Russian Interior Ministry General Administration for the Rostov Region`s center for combating extremism said Thursday.
According to Artur Metzger, investigators discovered that the teenager had intended to detonate an explosive device.

"[With this goal, he] scouted out potential sites, taking note of any anti-terrorist security systems installed there. A criminal case has been opened against the detainee under article 205 of the Russian Federation`s Criminal Code and the detainee has been remanded in custody," Metzger told journalists.

In late January, Evgeny Ilin, the first deputy head of the Russian National Anti-Terror Committee, said that the Special Services were receiving signals about attempts being made to send terrorists to Russia from other countries, including from Ukraine.
