Israel, Azerbaijan become leading partners in defense and energy
Israel and Azerbaijan have become leading partners in defense and energy, the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies’ report says. This statement was posted on WorldTribune.com website.

“The relations between Azerbaijan and Israel have improved dramatically,” the report says. “Azerbaijan has been a leading energy supplier while Israel was exporting advanced weapons to the country.”

In 2012, Israel signed a $1.6 billion arms export deal with Azerbaijan, which included unmanned aerial vehicles as well as air defense and surveillance systems.

“More importantly, strategic cooperation in defense and intelligence fields, as well as in the fight against terror, has proven that two small countries have found the unique blend for a successful symbiotic relationship in a highly insecure environment,” the report says.
