"Belgian Ambassador to Turkey Marc Trenteseau was summoned today to our ministry. He was handed a protest [note] in the context of PKK`s action in Brussels," the spokesman told RIA Novosti.
He added that Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu had a phone conversation with his Belgian counterpart Didier Reynders and highlighted the unacceptability of the PKK`s actions, because they had "nothing in common with a freedom of speech."
The PKK has been fighting for independence of Kurdish territories from Ankara since 1984. The group, which Turkey considers a terrorist organization, seeks to create a Kurdish state in parts of Turkey and Iraq.
