Russian psychologist reveals that the secret to Happiness Is...
Attaining happiness is easier than you might think, according to a Russian psychologist.

Happiness can be considered an ability to focus on positive events in one’s life, said Olga Danilenko, a Russian psychologist and assistant professor at the social psychology faculty at one of Moscow’s universities.

"The feeling of happiness depends on how we live the life, how we accept it," she said, according to RIA Novosti.

The `recipe of happiness` is simple, Danilenko said: as all experiences and feelings are relatively fleeting, one must learn to live the happy moments of his or her life to their fullest.

"In order to experience this feeling of happiness, you need to live it through, to recognize all the good things that happen to you; you need to learn to pinpoint all of the positive moments in the vast amount of information we have to deal with on a daily basis. Our consciousness has a limited capacity, and if it’s mostly cluttered with negative information, we don’t really pay attention to positive data," she said.

The psychologist also added that `happy people` could be generally broken down into three categories: those who merely seek to sample the pleasures life has to offer in a hedonistic fashion; those who devote themselves to a personal goal of some sort or even to another person; and finally, those who believe that they have some sort of a higher calling in life.

So learn to look on the bright side, don’t dwell on negative things, and, most importantly, be happy!
