US Restricts Travel to Belgium for Military Personnel
The US Army announced on Tuesday that all US military personnel and their families should avoid travelling to Belgium following terrorist attacks in Brussels.
All US military personnel and their families should avoid travelling to Belgium following terrorist attacks in Brussels, the US Army announced on Tuesday.

"Travel restrictions to Belgium were implemented March 22, 2016," the army said. "They apply to all uniformed service members, civilian and contractor employees, and command-sponsored dependents."

The US Army would not specify how long the travel restrictions will stay in place.

Earlier in the day, a series of blasts hit Brussels` Zaventem airport and a central metro station, killing at least 31 people and injuring some 250 others. The Belgian authorities are treating the explosions as part of a coordinated terrorist attack.

US European Command (EUCOM) has confirmed earlier on Tuesday that a US military service member and his family were injured in the attacks.
