Two Skyscrapers on Fire in Northeastern UAE
At least two skyscrapers were engulfed in a fire in the UAE city of Ajman, local media reported Monday.
According to the Gulf News newspaper, citing an official, the residents of the 12-tower complex were being evacuated. There is no official information on casualties, the media outlet reported.

Firefighters are working on the scene.

Fires in skyscrapers are relatively common in the United Arab Emirates. On new Year’s Eve, a fire broke out at the 63-story building just opposite the world’s tallest skyscraper Burj Khalifa. It was put out after more than 20 hours of struggle.
