Body of Azerbaijani killed in Somalia to be brought to Istanbul tomorrow
The bodies of Turkish and Azerbaijani citizens killed during the March 30 attack on a microbus in the capital of Somalia, Mogadishu, will be brought to Istanbul tomorrow.
The body of Kamala Ismayilova, an Azerbaijani citizen, will be delivered to Baku from Istanbul, APA has learned from Kamala’s relatives.

According to them, Kamala’s two sons – Nihad, 11, and Nijat,10, – who had been wounded in the attack were operated on in a hospital in Mogadishu. The severely wounded brothers are now in good condition. Their treatment will be continued in Turkey.

“The family’s head, Aflatun Ismayilov, who fell into a comma upon receiving the news, also is in hospital in Mogadishu,” they said.

Aflatun’s uncle Tofig Mikayilov and cousin Zohrab Ismayilov told APA’s local bureau that doctors were making efforts to help him come to.

Aflatun Ismayilov, who lived in Turkey with his family for a long time, then went to Somalia to work. Aflatun Ismayilov is working in the Turkish Airlines’ office and a Turkish tourism company in Mogadishu.

Kamala Ismayilova was a teacher at a private Turkish lyceum in Mogadishu.

A microbus with Azerbaijani and Turkish citizen on board became a target of an armed assault by terrorists. It is said there were 6 teachers and 6 children on the bus at the time of the attack, which left 5 people dead and several other wounded.
