Azerbaijani Defense Ministry has released a statement on situation in the frontline. The statement says:
“Armenian criminal regime, who failed in military sphere recent time, attempted to commit the next diversion to take revenge for failures and casualties. On April 2, Armenian armed forces fired on our positions along the frontline using mortars, large-caliber machine guns, and howitzers. At the same time, several settlements located near the frontline came under fire. In consideration of the operational situation, retaliatory measures have been taken to prevent expansion of military activity of the opposite side. Retaliatory measures are taken against Armenian armed units in direction of Agdere-Tartar-Agdam and Khojavend-Fuzuli.
Additional information on the situation in the frontline will be publicized. We call on media not to use unspecified and non-objective information.
