The Azerbaijani armed forces destroyed 10 Armenian tanks and killed many servicemen on the contact line between Armenian and Azerbaijani troops.
Armenian armed forces continues maintaining the escalation along the contact line of Azerbaijani and Armenian troops despite the agreement reached at 15:00 (GMT+04:00) Saturday on the initiative and through the mediation of Russia, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry told AzVision.az on April 3.
According to the ministry, taking the advantage of the Azerbaijani side complying with the agreement, Armenia deployed additional forces to occupied territories in order to regain control of the positions and areas liberated from occupation. As a result, the Azerbaijani armed forces destroyed 10 Armenian tanks and killed many servicemen.
As a result of preventive measures of Azerbaijani armed forces, Armenian military actions were prevented, the ministry noted.
The ministry added that the Armenian army also continued to intensively fire at Azerbaijan’s residential settlements and civilian facilities near the contact line of troops.
The Azerbaijani defense ministry has already ordered the country’s armed forces to inflict retaliatory strikes on Armenian settlements in Azerbaijan’s occupied territories if Armenians don’t cease fire immediately, the ministry warned.
