They expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for forming such a professional army and the determination displayed, talking about the army’s operations in response to Armenian provocations.
In their appeal, they noted that necessary steps should be taken in case Armenia does not draw a conclusion during the period of ceasefire and liberate occupied Azerbaijani lands.
“We do hope that there is going to be a result and our lands will be freed. Otherwise, we are asking you to continue taking action to free the lands. NGOs support every step of yours in this direction,” they said.
The appeal addressed to the UN Secretary-General, OSCE Chairman-in-Office, President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, NATO Secretary General, PACE President, President of the European Parliament and presidents of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries emphasizes that no effective steps were taken against Armenia that has been keeping Azerbaijani lands under occupation for more than 20 years.
“We want important steps to be taken for the liberation of Azerbaijani lands from Armenian occupation,” said the appeal.
It was also noted that a petition in support of the liberation of Azerbaijani lands will be launched on the website of the US Congress. NGOs are urged to actively participate in the petition.
