OSCE MG discussed issues on stabilization in Baku and Khankendi - Igor Popov
The OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs discussed in Khankendi the issues related to taking urgent measures aimed at stabilizing the situation, the OSCE Minsk Group Russian Co-Chair Igor Popov told.
The mediator declined to respond to questions, explaining that the visit to the region hasn’t finished yet.

I. Popov noted that the visit has been preceded by the special meetings of the OSCE Minsk Group in Vienna and the OSCE Permanent Council on the situation on the Line of Contact.

The following day the Co-Chairs held meetings with the political and military leadership of Azerbaijan: issues related to taking urgent measures aimed at stabilizing the situation, we well as a number of humanitarian issues were discussed.

According to him, the Co-Chairs will meet the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) representatives tomorrow, and a number of humanitarian issues will be discussed.

The mediators will then arrive in Yerevan, where they plan to meet with the Armenian President, as well as Foreign and Defense Ministers. “We will then make a statement and answer all the questions,” Popov noted.
