Plane crash kills 2 in northern Melbourne
Two people were killed after a light plane crashed Saturday in northern Melbourne, Australia, according to local press reports.
At around 11:30 a.m. local time, the out-of-control aircraft was witnessed dived into a paddock in Lancefield, and exploded.

Local police said the two people on board, which they believed were two adult males, had both died and their identities are yet to be confirmed, local media reported.

"The plane was out of control, the two occupants stood no chance," police said.

The light plane took off from Sunbury airport around 10:30 a.m. local time.

No people on the ground were killed or injured.

Australia`s Air Traffic Safety Bureau and related authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
