Suicide attack kills six in central Iraq
35 militants killed in airstrikes by anti-Daesh coalition forces
At least six people were killed in a suicide attack in central Iraq, a security source said Sunday.

A suspected Daesh suicide bomber targeted families trying to flee the town of Hit, near Ramadi, the source said on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media. Twelve were injured in the blast.

Fighting between Daesh and Iraqi government forces around Hit has seen people targeted by roadside bombs to prevent them from fleeing the town.

The source also said 35 Daesh militants were killed in airstrikes by coalition forces near al-Kasriyat, about 90 kilometers (56 miles) west of Ramadi.
