We are very concerned about fate of my father - son of Dilgam Asgarov
“We have received the last letter from my father on March 10. After the latest developments on the contact line of troops we cannot get any information about him, Kurdoglu Asgarov, son of Dilgam Asgarov, taken hostage by the Armenians in Azerbaijan’s occupied Kalbajar district, told APA on Monday.

Kurdoglu said, they are waiting for information about his father from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

“We are very concerned about the fate of my father, so I ask the ICRC to inform us about my father. The last letter from him was received a month ago. He wrote that he has food (water and bread). I think that my father is given nothing but bread and water,” Kurdoglu said.

In July of 2014, Russian citizen Dilgam Asgarov and Azerbaijani citizen Shahbaz Guliyev were taken hostage and another Azerbaijani citizen Hasan Hasanov was shot to death by the Armenian servicemen while trying to visit their homeland in Kalbajar.

Hasan Hasanov’s body was taken from the Armenian side and buried in Baku.

On 19 December 2014, the “court” of the separatist regime, created in the Armenian-occupied Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, sentenced Dilgam Asgarov to life in prison, Shahbaz Guliyev to 22 years in prison.
