Swedish Police detain terror suspect at airport
Swedish police on Wednesday have detained a man internationally wanted by Germany for terrorism-related crimes, a local newspaper reported.
The man had been about to board a plane to Turkey at Stockholm`s Arlanda airport when he was arrested, Aftonbladet newspaper said Wednesday. The man was born in 1980, his nationality has not been disclosed yet, the newspaper added. Germany has issued an international warrant against the man for terrorist offenses in the country.

In recent months, European countries have stepped up security measures following a number of terrorist attacks, including in Paris on November 13 which killed over 100 people and in Brussels on March 22, when two suicide bomb blasts hit the Brussels international airport and another explosion shook the Maelbeek metro station, killing 35 people and injuring more than 300.
