The search for the missing Azerbaijani military servicemen was resumed on Tuesday through the mediation of the ICRC and the OSCE, the ministry said.
The dead body of the missing Azerbaijani serviceman was found in the area, which had been searched repeatedly.
“The conclusion is, the Armenian side has found and picked the body earlier, and kept it for some reason, giving no official information to the mediators or to the Azerbaijani side. And after the official announcement came that the search efforts will be resumed on Tuesday, the Armenian side has again left the body in the previously-searched area,” the ministry stated.
Medical-forensic examinations are underway to find out the serviceman’s cause and date of death, the circumstances under which he died, and whether there are any signs of violence or abuse on his body, Azerbaijan’s ministry added.
