The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will be the main topic of discussion during Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov’s visit to Yerevan, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson told reporters on Thursday.
“Official visits will begin tomorrow. Although the minister’s visit was planned long ago, the main theme of discussion at the meetings will be the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. As you know, Russia, I mean the president, foreign minister and defense minister, made efforts to restore the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh,” Zakharova said.
The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson expressed confidence that the sides of the conflict must restore the negotiating process.
“According to the agreement reached, military risks must be reduced in the conflict zone”, she added.
