Azerbaijani parliament makes amendments to Labor Code
25% of penalties collected from those who violate requirements of labor legislation will be directed to relevant executive body
25% of penalties collected from employers who violate requirements of labor legislation will be directed to improvement of social defense of the employees of the relevant executive body and its material-technical base.

AzVision.az reports that amendments have been made to draft laws on “Amendments to laws on Employment and Amendments to the Labor Code” in this regard.

Informing about amendments, head of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Policy and State Building Ali Huseynli noted that according to amendments to the law, 25% of penalties collected from employers will be transferred to the account of relevant executive body. The rule of usage of these funds will be defined by the relevant body.

According to amendments to the law on Employment, 25% of penalties collected from the employers who did not inform the relevant executive body about staff reduction before two months, inform the relevant executive body about vacancy within maximum five days, submit monthly report on those who are recruited and dismissed in accordance with the notification and quote of the relevant executive body, recruit the disabled persons under 18 and others to the workplaces determined on the quote will be spent to abovementioned issues.

The amendments aim to improve social defense of the employees of the relevant executive body and its material-technical base.
