Congolese singer Papa Wemba dies during concert

Congolese singer Papa Wemba, who became a global icon for African music, has died after collapsing on stage during a concert.

The event in Abijan, Ivory Coast apparently continued for some moments after Wemba collapsed with backing performers unaware of what had happened. He was 66.
