Estonia supports `Southern gas corridor` project
Main part of the political dialogue must now rely on the energy issues, Foreign Affairs Minister of Estonia says.
Foreign Affairs Minister of Estonia Urmas Paet expressed his interest on the progress of the “Southern gas corridor” project during the meeting of EU on energy issues, saying ‘it will provide EU energy security, diversify natural gas supply and involve new providers’, the baltic-course website reported.

Paet further said the main part of the political dialogue must now rely on the energy issues. ‘For guaranteeing the energy security, EU should propose the partnership opportunities for suppliers, charge-free trading opportunities, so that energy providers sustain long-term and relied service.”

The Minister noted that for the realization of large-scale project the EU should prompt like a single organization. Estonian Minister also believes that Nabucco and TANAP projects are vital for the exportation of foreign gas to Europe.
.

EU should set further relations with Azerbaijan and Central Asia for realization of the projects and sustaining energy security in Europe.
