President Aliyev receives delegation led by UK PM
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by a member of the UK Parliament and Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, Charles Hendry.

The head of state said Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom enjoy high-level bilateral relations, adding these relations are dynamically developing.

President Ilham Aliyev hailed active involvement of UK companies in the development of Azerbaijan’s non-energy sector, describing this as a good sign of partnership.

The head of state stressed the importance of Charles Hendry’s participation in BakuTel-2014 Azerbaijan International Telecommunications and Information Technologies Exhibition.

The president of Azerbaijan said there is great potential for cooperation between the two countries in the oil and gas, industrial, agricultural, tourism and other fields.

Charles Hendry said he is pleased to be attending the BakuTel-2014 exhibition. He expressed confidence that cooperation in this sector will be continued.

Charles Hendry said UK companies are interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in various fields, particularly metro construction.
