$2.5B saved during TANAP implementation
The Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) has a significant role for Turkish energy security, TANAP General Manager Saltuk Duzyol said, AzVision.az reports citing Anadolu Agency.
80% of pipes are produced in Turkey: “Pipelines in the length of 900 km have been produced so far. Tenders worth $4.5bln have been held so far. The project was mainly useful for Turkish contractor companies”.

Duzyol noted that the oil price decline affected the TANAP: “The project was forecasted to cost $11.7 bln when a decision passed. However, the global economic crisis and oil price decline led to save $2.5 bln. No party will lose in TANAP: All Europe, Azerbaijan and Turkey will gain”.
