Transportation of Iranian gas to Georgia through Armenia pointless
"Speaking about transportation of Iranian gas to Georgia through Armenia is pointless", managing director of National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), Iranian Deputy Oil Minister Hamid-Reza Araqi told.
He noted currently the issues on gas transportation from Iran to Azerbaijan are being discussed: “Iran and Azerbaijan will extend cooperation in this field. Azerbaijan is a gas exporting country too. Aong with this, Azerbaijan and Iran are neighbour and fraternal countries. Iran is interested in energy cooperation with neighbour countries. Our regional position and reserves allow us to meet neighbour countries’ demand for gas”.
