The minister met with the front line personnel, inspecting the strength of the defense line, readiness and improvement of field engineering equipment, combat readiness, psychological and social condition of the personnel, the Defense Ministry told AzVision.az.
The defense minister then observed the opposite side of the front line, and the operational conditions and the works carried out on the defense line were reported to him.
Colonel Lieutenant Shukur Hamidov, who was declared national hero of Azerbaijan upon the order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief for his bravery in the liberation of Lele Tepe height in early April, was prematurely promoted to the rank of colonel.
The defense minister then met with the military servicemen distinguished in the April fighting, giving them valuable gifts and sitting with them for a cup of tea.
Front line soldiers expressed their loyalty to the motherland, people, and state, reiterating that they, at any time, are ready to fight for the restoration of our territorial integrity and liberation of the occupied lands, upon the the order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.
