According to the rule, the main registration and notariate of the ministry should also pay attention to the analysis and prevention—in addition to detection—of offences of legalization of funds and other property obtained by way of crime and financing of terrorism, APA reported.
According to the amendment, the main registration and notariate of the Ministry of Justice had to inform NGOs as well as branches and offices in Azerbaijan of foreign NGOs about individuals and legal entities on whom sanctions were imposed.
Also according to the amendment, the main registration and notariate of the Ministry of Justice is given additional powers as a controlling body. The main registration and notariate of the Ministry of Justice will now control the carrying out of measures on freezing assets in the fight against the financing of terrorism.

The Collegium of the Ministry of Justice has made amendments to the rules of controlling compliance with the requirements of the law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the fight against the legalization of funds and other property obtained by way of crime and financing of terrorism.
