Azerbaijan defense minister inaugurates new military unit on frontline - PHOTOS
At the instructions of Azerbaijani President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, a newly constructed military unit with up-to-date equipment has been put into operation on the frontline.


At the opening ceremony, Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov and the ministry’s senior staff reviewed the newly-built headquarters, a dining room, a boiler-laundry-bathroom complex, a checkpoint, military barracks as well as administrative, service, ideological, rest, and arms rooms, goods and food storages, the defense ministry told on Thursday.

The unit has a permanent automatic generator installed as well as water, gas, electricity and communication lines.

At the instructions of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov met with residents of the nearby villages and the civilian personnel employed at the unit.

The defense minister then spoke to the unit’s personnel about works done recently as a result of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s care to army buildup to boost their combat and psychological readiness, improve their social conditions, and strengthen the material-technical base.

The minister gave relevant instructions for the construction of new military units along the frontline.
